What Is the Learning Cabinet?

The Learning Cabinet is a joint initiative by UNICEF, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, the Asian Development Bank, and Arm. It evaluates EdTech tools through the EdTech for Good Framework — assessing learning impact, child safety, inclusiveness, and scalability. Only tools that meet this standard are listed. Its particular focus is on reaching children in the Global South, where quality learning tools are hardest to find.

What This Means for Moomin Language School

The Learning Cabinet connects trusted EdTech tools with governments and international organizations looking for proven solutions. As such, it helps us take one more step toward our founding goal: joyful, high-quality language learning for every child, everywhere.

Our service teaches English to children aged 3–10 through a blend of daily app use and weekly teacher-led play sessions — all rooted in Finnish early education principles. Children spend just 5–15 minutes a day with our learning app, then come together for songs, games, and storytelling that bring the language to life. No English teaching background needed: we train and support every educator from day one.
